He said there are about 70 buildings inspected and notices sent to their owners for compliance. Notices of violation are given to the landowner or building owner, and they have 30 days to act. If they don't make any attempt to clean up the structure, Public Works is able to complete the work itself and charge the owner for the cost. Arriola said he wants to keep the program going, and there are no plans to let up.
