MORE THAN TWO WEEKS AGO, RESTAURANTS WERE ABLE TO START INDOOR DINING IN ALBUQUERQUE AREA >> RESTAURANTS MADE INDOOR DINING ONE OF THE MOST VULNERABLE PLACES TO GET COVID. BRITTANY: THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED SINCE RESTAURANTS AND BREWERIES OPEN INSIDE. THE GREEN LINE REPRESENTS THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO GOT COVID AND TOLD CONTACT TRACERS THEY WERE AT A RESTAURANT OR BREWERY IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. >> THESE CURVES, THE RESTAURANT ONE IN PARTICULAR, ALSO REPRESENTED A FACT A LOT MORE PEOPLE ARE GOING NOW THAT THEY ARE OPEN. BRITTANY: BEFORE BERNALILLO COUNTY WENT TO YELLOW AND INDOOR DINING RETURN, THE PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN TO A RESTAURANT BEFORE GETTING COVID WAS LESS THAN 3%. NOW IT IS MORE THAN 5% AND CLIMBING. TODAY, WE ASKED THE STATES EPIDEMIOLOGIST ABOUT THE TREND. >> WE ARE RELUCTANT TO DRAW CONCLUSIONS FROM THAT TINY BLIP. BUT, WE DEFINITELY SEE IT.
