Figures released to Stuff under the Official Information Act reveal that as of March 23, the Canterbury police fraud team held 255 active files, of which 231 were awaiting investigation. In 2017, there were 888 files nationwide, including 58 in Canterbury, where a possible fraud or deception offence had been committed but not yet assigned for investigation. Are you a victim of fraud?
