A Jewish family moves from the city to a rural farm property at the base of an Aboriginal mountain - Guaga, or Mother Mountain. The restless mother hopes this move will bring a new start to their lives, far away from their disastrous past. When her daughter is bullied at the local school, an Indigenous boy comes to her aid and opens her eyes to the magic of the mountain. To heal, they must first confront the secrets of their family.
