Firefighters launched a rescue operation in Upper Ojai Sunday afternoon after a motorcycle crash sent a rider off the road along the Dennison Grade.
The accident was reported around 2 p.m. on Highway 150, also known as Ojai Road, south of Dennison Park, according to Ventura County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol reports. The incident took place near the Lion Canyon Creek bridge, reports showed.

Ventura County Fire's Station 20 on Santa Paula Ojai Road was built in 1959. Construction has started on a new station half a mile away in Upper Ojai.
