Motorcyclist escapes serious injury in Ovid Township crash

OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Memorial Day holiday weekend was a relatively safe one on Branch County roads. The only injury accident handled by the Branch County Sheriff’s Department took place on Saturday afternoon on Centennial Road south of Lockwood Road at about 2:30 p.m..
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says 51-year-old Gary Howard of Coldwater was driving his 1979 Harley Davidson Motorcycle south on Centennial when the front wheel become loose on his motorcycle.
Howard was able to lay the motorcycle down on its side and escaped serious injury.
