DEPUTIES SAY A MOTORCYCLE THAT STRUCK A CAR NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF THE PALKO BOULEVARD AND WESTWOOD DRIVE. INVESTIGATORS SAY THE MOTORCYCLE DRIVER SUFFERED FROM A HEAD INJURY AFTER BEING EJECTED FROM THE MOTORCYCLE AND DIED O TRACKING THE COVID-19 VACCINE Share Updated: 12:27 PM CST Feb 5, 2021 WDSU Digital Team A motorcyclist was killed after a crash with another vehicle in Marrero, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office reports.According to officials, deputies were dispatched around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lapalco Boulevard and Westwood Drive.The initial investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Lapalco Boulevard at a high rate of speed when it struck a vehicle. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered a head injury. He was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.It is not known if impairment was a factor. Toxicology tests are pending, JPSO said.
