Heavy rains flooded streets in Wilmington and other north New Castle County areas Thursday evening, stranding motorists in several locations.
Strong winds also resulted in thousands of Delmarva Power customers losing power.
Wilmington firefighters aided motorists who were stranded in high water at Scott and 14th streets in Trolley Square - the scene of similar flooding after torrential rains in November - as well as at Church and E. 3rd streets.
