This is really whole body of stuff where he seems to have it out for folks who dont have kids on just curious your reaction. The guy is a weirdo. Its really quite simple, and i thought that it was a really good point that was raised about those sisters that teach kids like me, because i actually went to catholic middle school, so i absolutely know what thats like. So i am curious to know what he thinks. But we also know that they have been pushing the project 2025 agenda and a lot of that Agenda Kind of has their own definition of what christianity looks like and what christian families look like and what we all should be doing, and i dont think that thats inclusive of catholicism and the muslim folk as well as atheist folk, everybody else, even though we supposedly have this thing called Freedom Of Religion in this country. So the Harris Wahls campaign of which you are now a national campaign cochair, they are in georgia. Georgia looked in rough shape. Weve got some new Swing State pulling out today. Again, no One Poll is determinative but it shows narrowing gaps and infect a lead in some of these Swing States. Harris up in arizona by two points in georgia, down one in north carolina, up in the vatican, all with the margin of error. We are just not having the conversations with Rural America that sheet we should be having because we do have an agenda that is actually about bettering their lives. That means better access to healthcare. That means better access to jobs. That means better access to education. A lot of times someone who lived in east texas, i know that we are limited to whichever plant is set up in that community and if that plant closes than that potentially decimates all of your economic opportunities. They are now going in and they are perpetrating raids on elderly women that are simply just trying to do their part for democracy. We are facing some really ugly and negative forces that are doing everything that they can to hold onto power, so for me, i lay back and as Tim Walz says, goes to sleep, he says we can sleep when we did. We reported on the beginning of the show about the altercation that happened in arlington national cemetery, where the expresident brought a Campaign Videographer, turned his appearance there into a Campaign Spot that was uploaded on their Social Media feeds. A worker there apparently again, this is the best depth of reporting from npr and our own reporting, from what weve heard, tried to stop them. They plowed through that. They are kind of doubling down on it and they are saying the worker at arlington national cemetery was having a mental like a mental Health Issue and sort of attacking that person. Im curious your reaction. I mean its the same old games with these guys. They dont abide by norms. They dont abide by the law and honestly anyone that tries to enforce any rules upon them, they literally just steamroll them and they act as if they were all right. Its really unfortunate, especially when you have someone that is running to be the most powerful person in the world, to know that they literally just have no appreciation for basic norms. This is not the party of law and order. I think we know that may have been who the republicans used to be but maga definitely is not that. Youve been an officer of the court for. You are able your. You worked as a public defender. You talked about in your Convention Speech about the sort of prosecutor versus the felon, expresident indicted in a Superseding Indictment yesterday. Im curious what you think, when you hear from folks in your district because youre up for election to delete. How salient the President S and audi, but established in a court of law in New York and alleged in various indictments, is to voters. I can tell you for sure, my district is not voting for Donald Trump. We all know what texas may look like but my district is not going to vote for donald. He will handily lose my district, and for a number of reasons. Number one, i have so many people in my district that have been criminally justice impacted. I actually have some of the highest incarcerated Zip Codes in the entire state so i think its one of the reasons that i have been trusted with this particular position, because i understand the implications that come along with the tagline of being a felon, and it was definitely a delicate line that i had to walk to do this kind of Felon And Prosecutor thing, because i have consistently fought so much for the criminally justice impacted and i did not want it to be a situation in which it seemed that i was putting those folk down. What i was trying to do was draw out the hypocrisy that the republicans consistently bring to the table when literally you guys are supporting someone that supposedly doesnt stand with any of the values that you claim to espouse.
