This comes as Mailin Voting and Absentee Voting is underway in two dozen states. Vice president harris is coming up a week that included endorsements from Bruce Springsteen to former Congresswoman Lissa Cheney and Basketball Legend Magic johnson. We have one reaction from one michigan senator to the Vice President s message focused on jobs. It is close. We have Donald Trump and Jd Vance coming in every day and just plain saying lies. The reality is, michigan was not better off under Donald Trump. We did lose jobs, we had plants close, forget covid, this was before covid. We got 44 new plants counting and opening up. Trump spoke friday in fayetteville, North Carolina touching on a wide variety of topics including slamming President Biden for saying that israel should not target i think he has that wrong. As you mentioned, the rumors that are spreading around the lack of availability, this idea that fema has abounded abandoned people are false. They are having a real impact. They have three different centers open today where people in the area can come. If you do not have a Cell Phone you can call them and fill that paperwork out in person. I want people to know if there watching this broadcast that there is federal help. You can rely on your neighbors, there is that duality and people should know this is a complicated and slow recovery. The amount this region adds to the difficulty but there are people who are trying to help. If you go out and try to talk to your neighbors, even reporters like us we could get that information in peoples hands so they do not feel entirely alone. From the Congress Side Fema monies appropriate for fema and not taken to other parts of dhs , including that related to migrants. The misinformation is a challenge all the time. I am more worried as we get later into the Election Year and a lies Fast And Furious and we have less time to sort things out. They still keep trying to recast what happened on January 6th. These are individuals who find nullifying the votes of African Americans and major cities across the country, ensuring younger voters do not have access to the ballot, they are pushing republican legislatures across the country various measures to prevent access to the ballot for individuals who they assume will not be republican voters. We are watching time and time again Donald Trump amplified you have to fight. When he says fight, bedlam industries, when he is issuing this violent rhetoric to his base, he knows what he is doing. The best predictor of behavior is past behavior. Donald trump has showcased he is willing to put it on the line and have people on the streets, his Monica Support groups willing to go out to maim and kill in order to maintain his idea of office. Because he still refuses to call out the dogs, he refuses to accept the fact that many of those individuals were convicted, this guy is fine watching this happen again. Brendan, when i was out on the Campaign Trail, i heard from many supporters who were Nikki Hale supporters that January 6th and the Way Trump acted was what made you want to look for any other republican to carry the standard. Ultimately they did not get that. Should the Harris Campaign put this back Front And Center on the spotlight as they continue down this homestretch for those kinds of voters . I do think so. In my opinion the worst moment of Trumps Debate with harris is when he spent two minutes explaining that he did not lose the 2020 election. Her ability to bait him into that and we have seen reporting that the Harris Campaign found in their survey that was his worst moment. You have to be on something to not be concerned that Donald Trump is going to try something like this again if he loses. Even if you dont like, excuse me, even if you like Donald Trump, you realize all of that nonsense is maddening and it does nothing other than doll yourself. If you can reclaim for people what was one of the most shameful days in american history, i think that is powerful. There are a lot of things that Donald Trump would disqualify himself, but there is nothing more disqualifying than attack on our Democracy Right at our capital that injured dozens of police officers. You cannot make a winning campaign issue, i dont know what it is. A lot of people dont care, those people are not in play. Those who are in play find it to be a shameful event and do not want to send him back to office. Potentially motivating one.
