MSP ask the public to be alert as catalytic converter thefts are on the rise

BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Michigan State Police Troopers want to remind everybody to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity as the theft of catalytic converters is on the rise.
Troopers from the Marshall Post are investigating a larceny of a catalytic converter, a stereo and a saws-all from the park and ride at Columbia Avenue and I-94 in Battle Creek which took place between February 18 and 22.
The victim’s vehicle was parked in the parking lot when the theft occurred. The suspects are unknown.
