N.J. man accused of setting two different fires on the same day Updated May 11, 2021; A Passaic County man started two separate fires on the same street and the same day in March, authorities said. Mario Palma-Sanchez, 26, of Clifton, allegedly started fires at two separate houses on Highland Avenue on March 30, 2020, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a statement. Palma-Sanchez is now charged with two counts of second degree aggravated arson, the statement said. No injuries were reported in either fire, but one family was displaced, according to the statement. Officials said Palma-Sanchez is the man they released a photo of last year during a search to find him after the fires were set.
