Dariel Garcia, 24, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and weapons offenses stemming from a shooting that took place on April 8, 2017 in the area of East 21st Street and 18th Avenue in Paterson, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. Garcia was arrested Saturday as Paterson police officers attempted to break up a late-night gathering in the area of Market and Pennington streets. Officers saw Garcia run off, “holding his waistband,” Valdes said in a statement.
