5h | Capacity Team Data centre operator N+ONE is to launch three "latest-generation interconnected" data centres across Senegal as the country positions to become a digital hub for French-speaking West Africa. The project, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Telecommunications, will see N+ONE partner with the General Delegation for Rapid Entrepreneurship of Women and Youth (DER/FJ), and the Digital Technologies Park of Senegal (PTN). In addition to supporting the digitalisation of public and private sector players, they aim to put Senegal on the map as a "digital hub in French-speaking West Africa". Papa Amado Sir, DER/FJ General Delegate, said: "The partnership with N-ONE is part of the vision of the DER/FJ, which aims to efficiently mobilise resources to develop customized services for digital entrepreneurs and help make the ecosystem friendly to the emergence of national and regional champions."
