Community members can watch the memorial event on YouTube. It’s scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event is being held online this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. To watch the event, CLICK HERE. Earlier in the day, the Eugene Springfield NAACP held a socially-distant car parade across from Autzen Stadium. Participants could drive, bike or walk through the parking lot and get free gifts, t-shirts and masks and chat with community leaders.
