Nancy Flood-Golembeck: Messenger of joy Nancy Flood-Golembeck I remember, as a child, lying in bed, putting my fingers in my ears, squeezing my eyes shut and burrowing my face into the pillow in an attempt to find out what it was like to be dead. I don’t think I could imagine a state of non-being. I still can’t. As I grew older and started attending Sunday School, I listened eagerly to stories about heaven. Then, when I embraced the Baha’i Faith at age 20, I was delighted to find much in the Baha’i Scriptures that addresses the immortality of the soul.
