Senior BJP leader Amit Shah accused the DMK of insulting 'Sanatan Dharma' and called for the people to reject the Dravidian party in the April 19 Lok Sabha election. Shah urged people to vote for the BJP candidate Pon Radhakrishnan in the Kanyakumari Lok Sabha constituency, chanting "Modi again", "Bharat Mata Ki Jai", and "Ponnar again".
