Mar 9, 2021 >>National Guard Helping High School With Cyberattack (Wilkes-Barre, PA) -- The Pennsylvania National Guard Cyber Division is being called to help the Hanover Area Junior Senior High School after a cyberattack. Officials say last week the school's network was shutdown by heavy traffic, which they believe was caused by receiving cyberattacks every 27 minutes. The issue was impacting students' ability to get online and engage in remote learning. The National Guard will be at the school all week to sift through the network and detect any issues they can find. Officials don't believe there has been a security breach at this time.
