The two stars were executive producers on the project “Two Distant Strangers,” which took home honors in the Best Live-Action Short category of the 93rd Academy Awards on Sunday. The film, directed by Travon Free and Martin Desmond Roe, focuses on police brutality and stars rapper Joey Bada$$ (named Carter James in the film), who is stuck in a time loop reliving a deadly encounter with a police officer.
