December 11, 2020 A FORMER Philippine Army officer who is the current supervisor of a security firm in Laguna has been identified by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as the man who gunned down lawyer Joey Luis Wee outside his office in Cebu City on Nov. 23, 2020. The gunman, Fausto Edgar Peralta, is one of the six suspects in Wee’s murder, according to the NBI. Peralta was arrested in Cabuyao, Laguna last Dec. 8. The suspect reportedly heads a security agency in Cabuyao, Laguna, NBI Laguna’s Daniel Daganzo told reporters in a press conference on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 10. The suspect was turned over by the NBI Laguna office to the NBI 7 Thursday; on the same day, Peralta and the other suspects were charged with murder before the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office.
