SPPU-affiliated colleges allege seeking nod from uni wastes time
Even after gaining autonomous status for a while now, various A+ graded colleges in the city have now written to the
state government’s
higher education department to ensure that the academic institutes are able to introduce new courses without wasting time in obtaining approval from the varsity.
Alleging that the autonomy granted to them is limited to
documentation alone, colleges affiliated to
Savitribai Phule Pune University (
SPPU) have complained that even to introduce a new course, they need to first inform the varsity and the state.
