Gujarat has been infiltrated by local and international drug mafias from the land, seas, as well as air on several occasions. The police have managed to intercept many of these drug routes. Surat police intercepted another such international consignment of drugs on Jan 7 under “No Drugs in Surat City” campaign. The cops busted a long haul heading to Maharashtra’s Pune, all the way from Nepal via land route.
