The day after they rescued four seriously injured teenage girls trapped in an overturned burning car, Emily and Michael Lohin started raising money for them. The Go-Fund-Me page they created has raised nearly $148,0000, so far. The most recent donation was $100 on Monday. “Never did we think starting a Go-Fund-Me would turn into this,” Emily Lohin said. “We know we live in a strong community, but we did not expect this outpouring.” Nearly two months after a suspected drunk driver smashed into their car head-on along Bridgetown Pike, the Neshaminy High School juniors continue their recoveries from life-changing injuries. Meanwhile, the community has kept a spotlight on the girls known collectively as the “Neshaminy 4.”
