(WCSC) - Dorchester County leaders expect construction on the new Ashley River Park to be complete within six months. The new park will sit along Bacons Bridge Road about a mile from Dorchester Road. Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Commission Chairman Jay Byars said having more outdoor recreation space and opportunities has been a goal of the county for years. The desire for more outdoor space, he says, has only grown during the pandemic.
