A new book telling the story of the “99% of DJs who never make it big” is set to be released by Velocity Press. Harold Heath, who is a regular DJ Mag contributor, will publish his debut book, Long Relationships: My Incredible Journey From Unknown DJ to Small-time DJ, in May, exploring the less glamorous side of life as a jobbing DJ. The book is described as “a journey of 30 odd years on a low-level, economy-class rollercoaster through the ups and downs of an ever-changing music industry.” Speaking about the book, Heath says: “My experiences of three decades as a DJ were a lot more prosaic and down to earth than that of the top tier. I felt that my story was probably more familiar to the vast majority of DJs and that our story hadn’t been told.
