MyCentralJersey.com FRANKLIN (Somerset) – A 28-year-old man from New Brunswick died Friday night after his vehicle struck a pickup truck at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and Route 27. At 11:02 p.m. Friday, Franklin police responded to a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash on Route 27, authorities said. The investigation determined that Rafelo Peralta was traveling southbound on Franklin Blvd in a Toyota Scion when he collided with a Ford F-150 pick-up, driven by 31-year-old Jose-Velez-Fernandez, of New Brunswick, that was making a left-hand turn onto Franklin Boulevard from Route 27, Somerset County Prosecutor Michael Robertson said Saturday.
