Fargo, ND, USA / 740 The FAN Apr 5, 2021 1:05 PM FARGO (KFGO) – A plan to build a 2nd Street N pedestrian bridge between Fargo City Hall and the greenway along the Red River on the opposite side of the new flood wall is close to approval. It’s been talked about since 2014. Recently, the city was notified it was awarded $2.4 million from the federal Urban Grant Program for the project. It’s an 80/20 split. The local share will amount to $600,000. City commissioners were to discuss the recommendation to approve the funding Monday night. Transportation Division Engineer Jeremy Gorden says the project is slated for construction in 2023.
