New layout, playground, renovations coming to Loomis Park Updated May 04, 2021; Facebook Share JACKSON, MI -- City officials are preparing for the redesigning of a northeast Jackson park. The redesign of Loomis Park, in Ward 2 near Henry Ford Allegiance Health, is expected to happen in 2022. The Jackson City Council started the process by awarding a $187,710 contract for architectural design services to Jackson-based design firm Covalle Group Architects at its April 27 meeting. Residents will notice a big change to the park’s layout once the redesign is complete. The parking lot off Edgewood Street, pavilion and playground will all be realigned so the Boos Center is more accessible from the street and parking lot., City Spokesman Aaron Dimick said.
