New rules for households to follow, especially if you have children who go to school or daycare. Medical Officer of Health for the Northwestern Health Unit Dr. Kit Young Hoon says if anyone in the household shows signs of COVID-19, everyone else in the household is required to follow new provincially-mandated quarantine procedures. “With the new guidance, a person with symptoms has to isolate and get tested. They’re also saying that the household members need to isolate as well or quarantine. So they stay home,” says Dr. Young Hoon. For a child, only one symptom needs to show for the quarantine requirements to kick in.
