The theme is Ngā Moemoeā: Hopes and dreams for my world, my future, my whānau. Former National Poetry Slam winner Te Kahu Rolleston from Ngāi Te Rangi says it’s a chance for whānau to experience the power words have to carve out realities. There are sections for rangatahi, for 18 years and under, and an open category for 19 and over. Entrants need to record and original spoken word performance and post it online.
