Newark City Schools hosting community forum about State Farm building Newark Advocate NEWARK - Newark City Schools is hosting a community forum at 6 p.m. this Thursday in the Newark High School Auditorium, to discuss the possibility of buying the former State Farm Insurance building on Granville Road. Those interested can attend in person, the forum will also be streamed live to the district’s Facebook page, and shown on the district website. District administrators and school board members will be on hand. This forum will allow community members to learn about the district’s initial plans for the property, ask questions and provide feedback. The building would allow for NCS to move preschool under one roof, free up classroom space in two elementary schools, and explore future opportunities. The district also looks forward to expanding community and business partnerships.
