Newfoundland Man One of Two Killed in Bulldozer Collision in Fort McMurray

A Newfoundland man is one of two people who died following a crash at Fort Hills Suncor Mine in Fort McMurray.
The fatal crash involving a bulldozer and a pick-up truck occurred on the Suncor site shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
A 29-year-old man from the community of Bloomfield, located on the Bonavista Peninsula, was driving the truck when the collision occurred. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 28-year-old female passenger of the truck, a resident of Calgary, also died on the scene. The 58-year-old male driver of the bulldozer was not injured.
A release from Wood Buffalo RCMP indicates the Alberta Labour Occupational Health and Safety are conducting an investigation.
