News Transcript News Briefs, Jan. 27 Freehold Regional High School District’s energy conservation partnership with Cenergistic, a nationwide sustainability company, culminated in a 31% decrease in energy use by the time the 2020-21 school year began in September 2020, according to a press release from the school district. The 31% energy reduction from the program equates to avoiding carbon emissions produced by eight million miles of automobile travel, according to the press release. “Our Cenergistic partnership has resulted in our district conserving energy effectively within our buildings. The collaboration has also aided us in ensuring the safety of our students and staff during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic,” said Sean Boyce, assistant superintendent for business administration. “The success of this program goes beyond energy conservation.”
