For the past five years, I’ve enjoyed covering the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s State of the County breakfast.
I’ve covered some when Kathy Jimino was the Rensselaer County executive and now with Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin.
It’s always nice to hear the county executive discuss the accomplishments and the challenges from the past year.

As a reporter who covers and follows county government throughout the whole year, it’s kind of nice to reminisce about stories that you covered.
Even though the breakfast event is always early in the morning, I would always be the one to cover it because I enjoy being able to connect with all the people in attendance.
