Many places in the state are likely to see a gradual fall in night temperature by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in the coming days, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). The northerly and north-westerly wind pattern will strengthen, leading to a drop in night temperature. Fog is also expected to decrease during this period. Former director of regional IMD center, Sarat Chandra Sahu, said a gradual fall in minimum temperature is expected in the state again from January 13.
