NMIXX became a talk of the town immediately after making its debut in February, not only because it was a new group launched by K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment, but also because its debut track, “O.O,” was unlike most other K-pop songs. “O.O” blended music genres like trap and Baile funk, sounding like a combination of two or three different songs. According to JYP, such a combination is the main characteristic of NMIXX's music style, “MIXX POP.”
