No Appt. Needed & Walk-Up Vaccination Sites Available Now In EP Beginning today, El Pasoans who would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine can do so without an appointment or via open walk-up sites. The City of El Paso recently announced that it would no longer require the public to schedule appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine at the Convention Center. Open vaccinations help remove the barriers of appointment impediments ensuring that the El Paso community has quick and convenient access to COVID-19 vaccinations. According to El Paso Fire Chief Mario D’Agostino: El Paso is pleased to report that we have administered over 616,000 vaccines across the region. Nearly 40 percent of our community, 16 years of age and older, have been fully vaccinated, and more than 60 percent of those 16 and older have received their first vaccine. Among our most vulnerable, those 65 and older, more than 70 percent are fully vaccinated, and more than 86 percent have received their first vaccine.
