No food supply shortages expected during fasting month in Perak

IPOH: Food supply shortages are not expected to occur during the fasting month in Perak as traders are well stocked, says Saifullizan Kamarul Zaman.
The Perak Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry director said stocks of basic groceries are sufficient for Ramadan.
"From our inspections conducted at suppliers, wholesalers and traders, we believe that the stocks of groceries supplies are enough throughout Ramadan and also Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
"We urge members of the public not to do any panic buying. As for traders, we hope they will not take this opportunity to increase prices as they please," he told reporters after conducting inspections at the Ipoh central market here on Monday (April 12).
