Photo / Supplied Otago Daily Times Despite widespread public concern, there will be no investigation into the death of a little penguin found surrounded by tyre tracks at a Dunedin beach last week. Department of Conservation (Doc) acting coastal Otago operations manager Craig Wilson said the dead little penguin (korora) was underweight when it was found on Tomahawk Beach on Thursday. Its weight suggested it might not have been in good health, but the cause of death remained unknown, Wilson said.
