Nominations Open for the 2021 Lieutenant-Governor’s Community Spirit Award April 6, 2021 - 1:44 PM Starting today, April 6, Nova Scotians can show their community pride by submitting nominations for the 2021 Lieutenant-Governor’s Community Spirit Award. “I am delighted that we are able to resume the Community Spirit Award after taking a pause in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Lt.-Gov. Arthur J. LeBlanc. “I was greatly impressed with the way Nova Scotia’s municipalities, towns and villages found innovative ways to continue their activities while we were all in lockdown and restricted. It is only fitting that we recognize and applaud those communities that went above and beyond to make their part of the province a very special place to live.”
