TOWAMENCINÂ â In response to a fight at North Penn High School and the resulting community response, the school district is giving students chances to react starting Friday. The district announced late Thursday afternoon that Friday, May 7 will bring what the district termed "our first step in healing" for high school students "to discuss their thoughts regarding race, culture, religion, and relationships among students in a safe and open manner with school and district administration." Those discussions will be held during periods four through seven at the high school on Friday, and next steps will involve further conversations with district families and the broader community, according to the district statement, which notes that specifics regarding the May 4 incident cannot be discussed due to privacy laws.
