Northern York district to hold four-day in-person classes for grades 7-12
Updated Mar 04, 2021;
Northern York School District students in grades 7 through 12 will soon return to the classroom four days a week, the district announced on Thursday.
“We previously had them attending classes in two cohorts,” said Superintendent Steve Kirkpatrick. “Half were on Mondays and Wednesdays, and the other half were on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Everyone attended remotely on Fridays.”
According to a district letter, the reason for the shift is that “COVID conditions are steadily improving.” And, that district officials said they want to transition to “more face-to-face instruction as soon as possible.”
