The CIRCM system is intended to offer protection to US Army rotary-wing and medium fixed-wing aircraft against infrared-guided missiles, shoulder-fired, vehicle-launched, and other missiles threats. The lightweight, laser-based countermeasure system uses advanced Quantum Cascade Laser (QCL) technology.
