Norway: PGS has coverage on 41 of the 61 APA 2020 licence awards 27 Jan 2021 41 of the 61 APA 2020 license awards within its 230,000 sq km of GeoStreamer MultiClient data library for Norway, providing fast access to MultiClient data to understand key areas of nearfield opportunity in the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea. In addition to the seismic coverage of APA license areas, PGS also offers rock physics properties related to these seismic datasets in its rockAVO atlases. The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate recently awarded 61 new production licenses to 30 companies. This shows that the petroleum industry still has significant expectations of making profitable discoveries on the Norwegian Shelf, according to NPD director of license management, Kalmar Ildstad.
