NSW has confidence in the ‘personal responsibility’ of citizens: Berejiklian 25/01/2021|9min
New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the state government knows what does and doesn’t work in fighting COVID-19, and she has confidence in the “personal responsibility” of citizens to do the right thing.
“Team New South Wales is all about whole of government,” Ms Berejiklian told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“Health are the expert contact tracers, but we need police to help us with compliance, we need Service New South Wales.”
The premier noted it is not known how long the coronavirus pandemic will last, and the aim of the New South Wales government is to keep the state as “certain and as open as possible whilst keeping the community safe”.
