Shoba has been accused of the brutal murder of 28-year-old Tshegofatso Pule, who was 8-months pregnant at the time of her death.

Magistrate Delize Smith said Shoba brought no new evidence which would convince the court to grant him bail.

“These are not new facts as anticipated in the bringing of a new bail application. I will however refer to some of these. The applicant already at the first bail application indicated that he had cooperated with the police during the investigation. The mere fact that he now elaborates how he assisted with the CCTV at the complex is not a new fact as it was known at the day of the first application.”
