CFNR Network Jul 23, 2021 | 5:07 PM The number of passengers making their way through the Northwest Regional Airport went up by a bit over 3,000 from May to June of this year, as COVID-19 vaccination rates continue to rise throughout all of BC. According to the airport’s latest figures, June saw a total of 11,306 passengers. Which is quite a bit below pre-COVID numbers, but it still made up the busiest month the year so far and is also a significant increase from May’s total of just under 8,000 passengers. A more normal number of passengers for the airport in a month before the pandemic was around 24,000, like in June of 2019.
