The Oak Grove City Council met in person for the first time since the pandemic began and City Hall closed its Council Chambers to the public back in March, 2020. Council members received an update on the fire department and discussed the second reading of a budget amendment. Before the council began official business, Oak Grove Mayor Theresa Jarvis gave an update on the new fire department building. Jarvis shared good news that the city was not expecting; the Kentucky Highway-911 road widening no longer required that the current fire department be taken down and subsequently moved to a new location.
