Obit: Windsor community advocate championed those with intellectual disabilities

Windsor’s Richard Ruston may have been born with an intellectual disability — but those who knew him agree that he was gifted in his own way.
“He touched an awful lot of lives,” said Melodie Cook, executive director of Community Living Windsor, where Ruston was a board member for more than 25 years.
Ruston passed away on Feb. 22 due to COVID-19 complications. He was 55.
