Oklahoma Joe: Employers must navigate transitional time wisely

“Survey: Expect gradual return to the workplace.”
Kathryn McNutt’s story was about a Greater Oklahoma City Chamber survey in which 71% of members say they are ready to return to office, while 29% are reluctant. Two-thirds say employees are now working remotely.
Then another: “Countdown begins to end of mask mandates.”
Last week, Oklahoma City and Tulsa allowed their mask mandates to expire after nine months, thus “leaving the decision to require masks up to individual businesses.” The chamber’s Cynthia Reid said large businesses would continue requiring masks until the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises otherwise. Jane Jenkins, president and CEO of Downtown Oklahoma City Inc., added many will continue mask mandates.
